Located in Bornova, Izmir, this luxury residence created by the company Folkart stands out dramatically in the area due to its unique architectural and landscape design.
As the building itself is staggered it allows for not one, but three rooftop gardens for residents to enjoy as well as the first floor garden situated in a raised location on top of the ground floor. Islands of shrubs stand out on the ground floor, following the lines of the sidewalks and blending nature with modern architecture seamlessly.
Native plants such as olive trees were used in the installation of the landscape to reduce maintenance and landscape sustainably as they do not require as much water as non-native plants. They also help add to the calming environment created by the landscape as the olive tree is famously the symbol of peace.Plant pots have been utilized across the whole landscape surrounding the building to add greenery to the hardscape features such as stone pavements and surrounding chairs, as well as to help residents navigate the site.
