Folkart Narlidere is an immense housing project located in Izmir with a focus on bringing people closer to the environment. Each apartment has an unobstructed sea view and either a terrace or a private garden. The grounds themselves are elegantly styled with a large vibrant green lawn surrounded by colorful flower beds, short, neat bushes and with large native olive trees dotted throughout.
The building itself is something to behold as the quirky design infuses the natural world with futuristic architecture. The metal beams create individual showcases for each almost identical tree that is placed in the space, covering almost the entire building and creating a wonderful facade that demonstrates the importance of the natural world. The terraces not covered by the tree design have orange trees strategically placed which shows the importance of native plants in urban environments.
