About Safi Espadon
Safi Espadon is a unique skyscraper in Istanbul that appears to have three points and yet is a smooth curve culminating in to one. The landscaping helps to highlight this with a row of trees at the front entrance creating a fourth level, one of vibrant greens contrasting with the silver and glass of the architecture.
The trees help to make an impressive entrance when residents arrive at their homes which have incredible views of Aydos forest to the north and the Sea of Marmara to the south.
Native plants were chosen for the project to create a diverse yet sustainable garden area for residents to enjoy. The olive trees are both hardy and drought-resistant as well as aiding with the natural, local aesthetic that contrasts wonderfully with the modern building. The shrubs and bushes are planted neatly in a creative layout which makes the landscaping appear as a work of art against the already uniquely designed residential building.
