The Ministry of Health headquarters in Ankara is an impressive building that shares its landscape with that of the Ataturk hospital. The unique architecture makes the building stand out dramatically from its surroundings while also reducing excess energy from being wasted. This is further enhanced by the expert landscaping which is designed to encompass the Ministry of Health’s logo as well as promote its authority.
Health and nature go hand in hand, so it was important to establish a beautiful and formal landscape for the Ministry building since it is governmental and dedicated to the people of Turkey’s health. However since it is also the workplace of many employees, it also includes many areas for staff to enjoy and take a break at work. This includes the giant chess board in the grounds as well as the hardscape features of bench seating for people to take a break in the fresh air surrounded by nature.
